What We Collect

We collect information you give us directly and information generated by your use of the Platform:

Information you provide:

  • Account registration details (email address, date of birth, username).
  • Profile content (photos, bio, preferences, and any optional criminal history disclosure).
  • Communications sent through the Platform (messages between members).
  • Support inquiries and feedback you submit to us.
  • Payment information (processed by a third-party payment processor — we do not store raw card numbers).

Information generated automatically:

  • Device and browser identifiers, IP address, and approximate location (city/region level).
  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, session duration.
  • Log data: server logs including timestamps and error records.
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see our Cookie Policy).

How We Use It

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Platform.
  • Authenticate your identity and protect account security.
  • Surface relevant member profiles based on your preferences and location.
  • Send service-related communications (account updates, safety alerts, support responses).
  • Enforce our Terms of Service and Community Standards.
  • Comply with legal obligations.
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve product features (aggregate, anonymized where possible).

We do not use your profile content or criminal history disclosures for advertising targeting.

Who We Share It With

We do not sell your personal information. We share data in limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: Third parties that help us operate (hosting, email delivery, payment processing, analytics). These providers are bound by data processing agreements.
  • Other members: Profile content you choose to make visible is shared with other members per your privacy settings. Your exact location is never shared.
  • Law enforcement: When required by valid legal process. See our Law Enforcement Policy for details.
  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may transfer to a successor entity, with prior notice to you.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including:

  • Access to a copy of your personal data.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, preferences, and analytics. You can control cookie usage through your browser settings and our in-app cookie preferences. Disabling certain cookies may affect Platform functionality.
