Data Deletion

Your data belongs to you. Here is how to get it removed.

Deleting Your Account

You can delete your Felonious Intent account at any time from within the app:

  1. Go to Settings in the app or web platform.
  2. Select Account.
  3. Choose Delete Account.
  4. Confirm your identity and acknowledge that deletion is permanent.
  5. Your account will be deactivated immediately and queued for full deletion.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, we remove:

  • Your profile, photos, bio, and disclosed criminal history.
  • Your message history (messages are removed from your view; recipient-side deletion is governed by our Privacy Policy).
  • Your match history and interaction records.
  • Your account credentials and preferences.

Some data may be retained in backup systems for a period of time after deletion. Logs and records required for fraud prevention, legal compliance, or ongoing abuse investigations may be retained per our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Request Data Deletion Without Deleting Your Account

If you want to delete specific data without closing your account — for example, removing a criminal history disclosure you previously added — you can do this directly from your profile settings at any time.

For other specific data deletion requests (such as removing your data from our analytics or backup systems), contact us at:

[Privacy contact email — to be added before launch]

Response Timeline

We will confirm receipt of deletion requests within [X] business days and complete deletion within [Y] days, subject to any legal retention obligations.

Specific timelines will be set during legal review and will be aligned with applicable privacy law requirements (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).

California Residents

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know, the right to delete, the right to opt out of sale, and the right to non-discrimination. To exercise these rights, use the account deletion process above or contact us at [privacy contact — to be added].
