Community Standards

Felonious Intent exists because we believe everyone deserves honest connection. These standards protect that belief.

Last reviewed: Draft — Not yet in effect

Core Values

Every decision we make about what is and is not acceptable on this platform flows from these commitments:

  • Honesty over performance. We built this for people who are done pretending. Authenticity is the expectation, not the exception.
  • Respect without exception. A person's past does not entitle anyone to treat them as less than human. Dignity is non-negotiable here.
  • Safety as infrastructure. Safety tools are not an afterthought — they are load-bearing elements of the platform.
  • Community over spectacle. This is not a platform for curiosity about criminal records. It is a platform for connection between real people.

What We Prohibit

The following behaviors will result in immediate account suspension or permanent ban:

  • Harassment, threats, intimidation, or sustained unwanted contact after a member has asked you to stop.
  • Hate speech targeting race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.
  • Solicitation of money, gifts, or financial favors from other members.
  • Sharing another member's private information without their consent (doxxing).
  • Creating fake profiles or impersonating other individuals.
  • Sharing, distributing, or threatening to share intimate images without consent.
  • Accessing or attempting to access accounts, data, or systems beyond your own.
  • Using the platform to facilitate trafficking, exploitation, or any illegal activity.

Second Chance Culture

Felonious Intent was built around a specific idea: that a criminal record is context, not a verdict on who a person is today.

We ask all members to approach each other with that same frame. This means:

  • Do not contact someone to interrogate or judge their disclosed history.
  • Do not share or comment on another member's disclosed history outside of the Platform.
  • Do not use disclosed history to shame, blackmail, or manipulate.
  • Recognize that disclosure is an act of trust. Treat it accordingly.

Members who weaponize another person's disclosed history will be removed.

Criminal History Standards

How criminal history disclosures work on this platform:

  • Disclosure is entirely voluntary. Members are never required to disclose history to create or maintain an account.
  • Disclosures are self-reported and not verified by Felonious Intent.
  • Material intentional misrepresentation of your history (stating you have no record when you do, for example) violates these standards and may result in removal.
  • Members on sex offender registries are prohibited from using this platform.
  • Active warrants, fugitive status, or open charges that represent an ongoing threat to others may result in account review.

The specific mechanics of how these standards are enforced will be detailed in final policy documentation following legal review.

Photo Standards

Photos must:

  • Clearly show your face in at least one image.
  • Be photos of yourself, not of other people, celebrities, or fictional characters.
  • Not contain nudity on public-facing profile images.
  • Not contain minors (even as background individuals in group shots).
  • Not include visible personally identifying information such as license plates, street addresses, or government ID numbers.

Consequences

Violations of these standards may result in:

  • Content removal.
  • A formal warning.
  • Temporary suspension of messaging or matching features.
  • Temporary account suspension.
  • Permanent account ban.
  • Referral to law enforcement where appropriate.

We apply these consequences based on severity and context. Repeated or serious violations result in permanent removal with no appeal.
